About

We are a community open to everyone interested in reading the world differently, whether you speak one language or five. We are independent of any other media organisation.

Our core team, based in London, collaborates with contributing editors, translators, writers and publishers around the world to curate and translate journalism and non-fiction writing from beyond the Anglosphere, and explore the role of language itself in shaping the world we live in.

Translator gives our readers a wider view of what the world is thinking, saying and writing by platforming the voices and stories of local journalists, writers and others.

We believe this is more necessary than ever, to help us all break free from restrictive, mono-lingual media ecosystems.

At Translator, we believe language should be a bridge, not a barrier.
